I am very disturbed by this facility lack of care. My son in law came to this hospital Christmas Eve with severe headache and he had been having a toothache. He was not even took to a room to be treated or test ran of any kind. He was approached by the so called doctor in the area they take your vitals and was given prescription for antibiotics and pain medicine and sent on his way. My son in laws headaches were so sever he was off balance. He has been suffering with this since Sunday dec 24th. Brought him to a different hospital today and they did their job. They ran tests and found out he has a tumor or brain infection. They transporting him to Johnson city icu. Who has the facility to treat him and determine if it is intact a tumor or infection. Shame on takoma for not doing their job. All I can say is that this physician. And hospital should be praying right now that my son in law will be ok and not suffer any lasting problems due to takomas negligence and pure lazziness to attend to his needs
Going to Takoma was an absolutely disgusting experience. I took my girlfriend to the emergency room because we were convinced that she was having an appendicitis attack. Upon arrival we were informed checkin may take longer than normal because they were "learning a new system", it took approximately 20 minutes just to check in and be placed in triage after expressing our concerns. When she was taken into the nurses station, she was told that her pain was caused by her fever of 102.3. They told her they would bring her Tylenol to lower the fever and her pain, and we waited 1 hour before I went to the Walgreens down the store, bought a case of water and a package of tylenol, and brought it back. During this time, 3 fellow patients expressed concern that my girlfriend was in tremendous pain and were told "We will get to her when we can". At this point I realized that if she were in serious condition, she would either be air lifted JCMC to have surgery, or she would be dying in the lobby while screaming for the Tylenol she was promised an hour before. Quite frankly, I've had better customer service buying used bicycles off of Craigslist. I would also like to address the overall attitude of the nurses...... when people come into an *Emergency* Room, they clearly have some serious concerns about their health, or else they wouldn't be going to an *Emergency* Room, so you should have just a little empathy and understanding of why they are there, rather than acting like trained robotic monkies typing on a keyboard and spouting the same rehearsed lines over and over. Needless to say, as a recent transplant to Greeneville this concerns me as one of my main reasons for moving here was the nearby medical care. I will skip going to this glorified Urgent Care in the future and rush straight to JCMC if I am in serious concern for my health or the health of my family.
I was recently a patient here for a few day, from the Emergency department to the third floor I couldn't have asked for a better experience. Everyone was courteous, friendly, helpful & most of all kind. Thank you & God Bless!
I wish I could give less than one star. Yall sit and eat mcdonalds while peoe wait for something as simplementation as discharge papers. I hate it here just in general, I'd hate to be someone in a serious live or die emergency. Doctor is very disrespectful. Won't be back!
