From Hot Springs, follow the river access road until it turns gravel, continue until you reach where Paint Creek terminates into the French Broad. Look Up!
Didn't really see much. Binoculars are a must! Pretty area, but parking is abismal. Neat little historical area in Hot Springs with a gorgeous view if you climb up the rocky trail. Worth visiting if you love nature. Keep following the road to the right and you'll end up at Dudley Falls and the swimming hole.... both Paint Rock and Dudley Falls are not well signed, so ask the locals.
Terrific place to hang out and enjoy peace and quite.

Hard to see of not guided. Tons of contemporary graffiti below the photographs. Perhaps in another few hundred years people will flock to see "Robert Wuz Here" and wonder over the mysterious paintings if olden people's.
