I had to return my wine that I had just purchased because when putting it in the car, I noticed that it had EXPIRED last month. They didn't have any more Cabernet in stock. I had to exchange for a Merlot. Then, as I was informing the manager that the same gross, expired box has been on the shelf for months and months (you could tell because the cardboard had come unglued and was gaping open on one side, the busted box has been there for awhile and always pushed aside in favor of a "healthier looking" one; I didn't notice when I grabbed it today because it was turned backwards), the nasty, hateful sales girl-- who I wasn't even talking to-- jumped in and started yelling about how it wasn't a big deal, and that they DO their jobs, I was lying, and I needed to calm down (I actually WAS calm until the rude woman jumped in and yelled at me like that). I asked her what her name was (Melissa), and she informed me that the other woman I had been talking to was her manager. That manager never told her to apologize to me for speaking to a customer that way or daring to engage in an outright argument with a customer. I informed the manager that we spend a lot of money at their store, but I won't be giving them another penny of my money when she allows her employee to talk to customers in such a manner, and that she needs to talk to her about her nasty attitude. With wine in grocery stores now, you'd think they'd care a little more about respecting their customers. It's just as easy for me to drive another 90 seconds down the road to the next wine store, or pick it up at Food City from now on instead of trying to support local business. At least Food City doesnt have nasty expired wine on their shelves and they keep their products in stock. The store owner engaged in an argument on Facebook with my friends and myself after I made a public post about my experience. Total lack of professionalism. You should see his comments, namecalling and other nonsense. It would be funny if it wasn't so disgusting.
Sign out front says kegs available, so knowing I had company coming I asked about getting a keg... all of my contact info was taken along with what I was wanting to purchase. After not receiving a phone call for several days I stopped back in and asked if there was any word on the keg that i wanted to order... the one word answer was "no"... it was clear that she did not bother to check nor did intend to... Will be shopping elsewhere from now on.
After pointing out expired wine on their shelf, my wife was treated like garbage by the staff and owner. I wouldn't buy a piece of gum in this establishment.
