This place has a nice pavilion with a fireplace , picnic tables, and public restrooms. It's about a fifteen minutes windy drive from the beginning of the road.
I agree with the post about narrow LONG road to the top of a mountain with a toilet a trash can and a pavilion. That's all that's there. Went once last year haven't been back. Prefer Horsecreek Campground or Paint Creek Campground
This campground is great as long as you know what to expect. It has a very nice pavilion with a lovely stonework fireplace that is perfect to cook on and stay warm. There is also a small park grill for that nice wood fire seared camp hotdogs and hamburgers. The road is narrow but passable and has tons of great views along the way, especially during fall! There are multiple hiking trails that start around and pass by the parking area at the top. There is also park style restrooms for added convenience when enjoying the facilities.
Great camping area, beautiful drive, awesome hiking/biking trails.
